Serving Grandville and Grand Rapids

The holiday season is here, and there’s no better way to celebrate than by exploring the vibrant community events happening in Grandville and Grand Rapids. At Grand Rapids Dental Partners, we love being part of this festive season and supporting the community spirit that makes West Michigan so special.

One of the most magical events this season is the Christkindl Markt in Grand Rapids. Running throughout December, this European-inspired holiday market brings the warmth and charm of a traditional Christmas village to life. Stroll through rows of artisan vendors, enjoy delicious seasonal treats, and find unique gifts for your loved ones—all while soaking up the festive atmosphere. Don’t miss the twinkling lights and caroling that add an extra layer of holiday cheer to your shopping experience.

In Grand Rapids, the holidays wouldn’t be complete without the Santa Parade on December 7th beginning at 5pm. This beloved tradition features floats, marching bands, and, of course, Santa Claus himself! According to the Grand Rapids Santa Parade website, Santa “will be traveling from the North Pole to join us for this special event that will light up the streets of Grand Rapids for families from all over West Michigan. Santa will be exiting his sleigh at Rosa Park Circle at approximately 6:30 pm and joining the City of Grand Rapids for the annual tree lighting ceremony at 6:45 pm.” Bundle up and join friends and neighbors to line the streets and enjoy this heartwarming display of community holiday spirit. It’s a perfect way to kick off the season with family and friends.

In Grandville on December 7th starting at 5:30pm, you can participate in Christmas at the Commons – a strolling Holiday event. According to the Experience Grand Rapids website, Chicago Drive will be closed to traffic to host “a stationary parade with floats, holiday animals, Dickens Carolers, North Pole houses, character photo stops, and stages for Christmas musicians. In the lots around the stationary parade, we will add train rides, food vendors, a mini Christmas market, the mega tree, a synthetic ice rink, and more. The tree lighting, hosted by Grandville City Council and accompanied by the GHS marching band, will take place at 5:30 pm by the big tree along Chicago Drive. Festivities may be enjoyed anytime throughout the evening from 5-8:00 pm.”
